NEED MORE INFO ABOUT TUBE

Refer to my comment of July 17 on this writeup, which I made before realizing I could edit my original entry! However I could not change the stars to four.

I was forced to rate this, so picked one star solely because of the lack of info needed in the description for Avenir Extra lite Presta Valve 700c Tube (700x18-25). This probably is a decent tube, but who wants to buy it to get the info that should normally be given? Someone at Amazon screwed up in the case of the description. I assume Amazon because the tube at least comes with potentially free shipping. This is written June 12, 2009.

Under product info it says "Hook and Loop Mounting System." Huh??? For a bike tube???? Meaning??? Some new technical advance????

Also, the length of the stem is not given. Critical info if rims are at all aero. If not aero and stems are long, who wants the extra wind resistance and weight? And, are stems threaded or not? Picture is not clear on this.

Weight of tube in gms? Ideally, it would be nice to know butyl wall thickness, as well.

Hopefully someone at Amazon will provide a better description so that this review can be deleted or updated.
